Edinburgh Food Festival
Offering the chance to get into the festival spirit the weekend before the Fringe starts, the Edinburgh Food Festival is a five day celebration of the best Scottish street food. Organised by Assembly, the free festival takes over George Square Gardens with food trucks, bars, and even talks and debates about topical foodie subjects.

Dram & Smoke Campfire Feasts
Dram & Smoke are back again for the Fringe, with a unique foodie pop-up in the Biscuit Factory. The campfire-themed dining event immerses guests in a giant indoor picnic, reminiscent of nostalgic Scottish summers of years gone by. Tuck into a four course tasting menu along with cocktails from Talisker (£40pp), or opt for the Campfire Cocktails masterclass only (£10pp).

Heading to Foodies Festival for a day of eating and drinking is a bit of an annual tradition. The nationwide festival returns to Edinburgh this August for a weekend of street food, masterclasses, demonstrations, and foodie markets. This one’s great for all ages – plus it’s dog-friendly too!

Caorunn Gin Garden
Hotel du Vin are pairing up with Scottish gin makers, Caorunn Gin, to create a peaceful garden retreat in the middle of the city. There will be Caorunn Gin cocktails galore, along with signature serves and nibbles from the hotel’s restaurant.

Food & Flea Market
Technically, the Food & Flea Market is open all year round, 7 days a week, but why not make the most of the good weather (…hopefully!) and visit it in the summer sunshine? Whilst its big sister, The Pitt, is taking a break for August, head down to The Arches to enjoy street food and drinks from local vendors every day, as well as a crafty flea market at the weekends.

Edinburgh Cocktail Festival
Celebrating everything that’s great about cocktails, the new Edinburgh Cocktail Festival will be hosting a range of masterclasses, tastings, events, live entertainment and pop-up cocktail bars during August. Your wristband (£15 for the whole month) will get you access to discounted cocktails and unlimited entry to masterclasses and tastings.

Daffy’s Gin Terrace
As if one pop-up gin garden wasn’t enough for you, the G&V Royal Mile Hotel will be hosting a Daffy’s Gin Terrace pop-up throughout August. Enjoy a signature ‘D&T’, or opt for a G&Bees Spritz cocktail made using Daffy’s Gin, apricot brandy, orange blossom, soda and home-grown honey from G&V’s rooftop beehives.
